Experienced players use sound as much as vision. Knowing where a noise comes from can give you precious seconds of advantage.
- Footsteps get louder and faster the closer the enemy is
- Unsilenced shots reveal the approximate position of the shooter
- Vehicles can be heard from long range — avoid them near endgame
- Opening chests and doors also makes identifiable noise
Play with headphones, not speakers. The difference in hearing direction is huge and changes the outcome of many fights.
Sprinting all the time (instead of crouch-walking) makes much more noise — in high-risk zones, move slower when you do not need speed.
